$5.20 Omaha P/L (Double or Nothing)

Fish December 12, 2008

I just finished up another sit and go tournament at PokerStars.  This one was a little different then the last, where it was a regular tournament, this one was a double or nothing with 5 winners and 5 losers.  I have a pretty good win percentage on these games.  I think the smartest way to play them is look at as many hands as you can early when it’s only 20 or 30 chips to call and then play only premiums once the blinds hit 100.  I only had 400 more chips then the 6th place guy, he went all in, I called and one other called and we checked it down and boom, game over as I hit the straight on the river.

PokerStars Tournament #126622853, Pot Limit Omaha
Buy-In: $5.00/$0.20
10 players
Total Prize Pool: $50.00
Tournament started 2008/12/12 17:49:24 ET
Tournament finished 2008/12/12 18:36:18 ET
1: me (San Diego), $10.00 (20%)
2: hootfish (Horicon), $10.00 (20%)
3: Tian0 (H-Town), $10.00 (20%)
4: Larry_Shine (tampere), $10.00 (20%)
5: s@ndr@poker (st laurent du maroni), $10.00 (20%)
6: XXTopCatXX (Florida City),
7: Shoobay (Gobles),
8: Gerbjoern (Bardufoss),
9: Turi70 (Giardini Naxos),
10: cragle7 (Glastonbury),

You finished in 1st place (eliminated at hand #22860432334).

51 hands played and saw flop:
- 2 times out of 6 while in small blind (33%)
- 1 times out of 6 while in big blind (17%)
- 4 times out of 39 in other positions (10%)
- a total of 7 times out of 51 (14%)

Pots won at showdown – 1 out of 2 (50%)
Pots won without showdown – 4

I played almost nothing in this tournament, I sat on my ass and only seen 7 of 51 flops for a whopping total of 14%.  This is a big contrast from my Omaha Hi/Lo game I played an hour or so before hand.

I won though, so I can’t complain.
